It’s not exactly a dignified record.

I’m going to be honest with you folks; I’m not proud of my Diablo IV PvP career right now. Not that there was any hope of me ever being proud of it, in the biblical sense you know. The kind where I’d boast to my mailman that I’ve gone 7-0 in a single day in Diablo IV PvP and he contemplates if I’m worth pulling out the glock in his glove compartment.

Over the course of the season I’ve been slowly making my way toward the 100,000 red dust reward in PvP. It’s not that the reward takes a long time, it probably requires less than eight hours of straight PvP gaming. I just really don’t care to play the game that long and I’ve been taking really long breaks from Diablo IV over the last few whenever the hell it launched. So it’s taken my a lot longer than necessary.

And one thing I’ve learned about Diablo IV PvP is that Diablo IV players do not give two shits about Diablo IV PvP. In the three months since Diablo IV launched I think I’ve come across people fighting it out in the fields of hatred a total of twice. Once back in July and once today. And it didn’t really count today. Not really.

Diablo IV doesn’t scale player levels in PvP, meaning I as a level 61 player can pretty easily wipe the floor with a level 50 character. In fact all it took was hitting 2 and then right clicking. Which is what I did. Again, and again, and again. Numerous times as the dude kept coming back and taking potshots at me from the corner of the screen. I didn’t wanna do it, but he forced my hand! If I wanted to PvP, I’d have that label flipped on.

So I beat the crap out of the dude, but in the process I managed to cross the finish line on that 100k red dust horse. And now I hate it, because it looks kinda crap considering the time and effort I put into obtaining it. Maybe it just needs a set of armor. Maybe I just need to do something better with my time. At least it doesn’t take much time at all to level the battle pass. I don’t think I’ve played much at all over the last month and I’m still only three levels away from finishing the damn thing.
