Hamster Hunter is definitely a game. It exists, they sell it on Steam, and I paid money for it. But what is the game about? Well, the name is Hamster Hunter and let me tell you, this isn’t a trick question. You play as a guy who comes home to visit his family only to find out that everyone has been butchered, and wouldn’t you know who’s responsible? That’s right, Frank Stallone.

Nah, it’s the hamsters. So you do what any reasonable person would and commit yourself to torturing and killing any and all hamsters that inhabit the half mile around your family’s house. You have the option of buying torture devices for killing hamsters and those cost money, so you’ll need to make money. How do you make money? By grinding up hamsters and selling their meat on the dark web. I don’t know how the developer got a copy of my unpublished autobiography but here we are anyway.

This feels like a Newgrounds game built in Unity, most of the fun is of course seeing the hamsters die in various fashions and listening to their squeaks as they meet their maker. The developer’s plan is to add in more automation, but you can do things like setting up a turret gun and a lure which is a fake hamster with big melons. I wrote this script but I don’t remember writing these words. Eventually you get enough intel to kill the head honcho of the hamsters, ensuring that the cycle of violence will continue forever.

This may come as a complete shock given the graphical fidelity, but Hamster Hunter has some bugs and glitches that are ever changing as the game has been updated several times since its launch. I actually have an item on my video that you can’t get anymore because the developer removed it. Suck on that, losers. On a side note I’m selling my save file for a mere one thousand dollars USD on the MMO Fallout marketplace.

Should you buy Hamster Hunter? I think this video speaks for itself, you’re going to listen to my commentary and see the clips and likely be very decisive on if you think this is hilarious or if it looks like a stupid waste of time and money. Me I got about an hour and a half out of it, and I’m not so cruel as to refund a $5 game.
