The first phase of the story.
Fortnite has officially launched its phase 1 story quests for Chapter 5 Season 3 and they are pretty sparse and easy to complete. Personally I managed to complete all of them within the span of three matches.
1. ) Talk To Hope and Jones
Both are mapped out and relatively close to one another. Simply speak to both characters and go through their dialogue to get the quest series started.
2.) Damage opponents while boosting in vehicles
This one should be pretty easy to complete now that every vehicle can boost right out the gate. Find a car, of which there are plenty, and preferably outfit yourself with a spiked bumper or cow catcher and you’ll probably be able to complete this in a single hit. You don’t have to exclusively target players, any hostile NPC should also do the trick.
100 damage will finish this quest.
3.) Destroy objects or structures while infused with Nitro
This one might take a little longer, but it’s pretty easy. You can find Nitro capsules all around the map, or you can drive down the roads and hit the Nitro that are sitting about. Either way, you’re probably going to want a car outfitted with a cow catcher so you can hit nitro and just plow through scenery.
100 objects will get you to the next step.
4.) Install vehicle mods
You don’t even have to leave your car. This one is also pretty simple considering vehicle mods are thrown around the map at just about every ten feet. Drive down the road and you’re bound to come across a handful of mods and complete this lickity split.
Four mods will take no time at all.
5.) Search Containers At Wasteland Landmarks
Any containers will do, be it a chest, a produce box, ammo box. I guess that’s pretty much it. Maybe a safe? Ten containers at any wasteland landmark, you can always start from the corner and work your way in. Beware of other players!

6.) Collect surveillance devices at different wasteland locations
This one might take the longest out of any step since you have to collect six of them and that means going to six locations. The devices are on the ground and clearly marked, you just need a second to collect them once you walk over to them. Six will do, but there are seven or so on the map.

That’s it, only six quests this phase. There’s not a lot of story here, Jones and Hope want to start surveillance on the new Wasteland Warriors who are probably up to no good and stuff. The next set of quests should release in mid-June but you’ll want to keep up on that battle pass between now and then.
