And it utterly sucked.
Chapter 5 Season 3 of Fortnite has been one of the most grating in my opinion over the last couple of years, and if there’s one thing that Epic has made me happy about it’s the fact that you don’t need to play Fortnite BR anymore to actually level the battle pass. Shit, you don’t even need to play Fortnite BR in order to obtain the side-pass rewards either, you can just grind creative club experience for that stuff now too.
I won’t be particularly happy in Fortnite until I see those patch notes confirming the vehicle turrets and boss vehicles are going the hell away. Thankfully Epic have been making it much easier to survive against cars as the season progressed, but I’m just so sick of matches turning into the last 10 or so players driving around in their turret cars and stopping every so often to take a few potshots.

That being said the car combat has been the source for a lot of fun this season, specifically in knocking the crap out of low-skilled players who don’t even know how to use the cars they’ve been given. If you play to the meta, by which I mean carrying around traversal items and emps, you can basically render most vehicle dweebs useless. Boot them out of their cars and gun them down pretty quick because they probably aren’t expecting a fight.
I’d wish for the death of the nitro fists in Season 4 but it doesn’t matter because I know we’re getting Wolverine’s Claws back and that’ll be a very similar melee weapon. Regardless I hope that the fists burn in the same pit of hell as the vehicle turrets. Now that being said I did enjoy killing a few people with the tow hook. It’s an easy weapon to screw up with and get killed trying to use but damn if it isn’t fun when you do get a direct headshot.
I didn’t prepare much for this season so we’ll skip the long posts until next season. I think I just hated the car combat so much that I blocked out pretty much everything else.
