It’s a boon for zombies players.

Black Ops 6 has a new event running until December 4 called Hit List. It’s not much of a hit list since literally everyone you come across is on your list and all of them contribute to the overall score. And Call of Duty has some big plans for players to fill their hitlist, as the event has personal goals and community goals. Individual players will have to rack up one thousand points to fill their score card, while the community as a whole needs an astounding 50 billion scalps on that wall.

Yes, the BLOPS community needs to kill the population of Earth more than six times over. That’s a hell of a hit list. Rewards are divvied up between personal and community benchmarks, with the personal goal being to get your hands on a ridiculous power drill melee weapon. The rewards are as follows:

• Big Plans loading screen – 100 skulls
• Elimination Game calling card – 250 skulls
• Evidence emblem – 500 skulls
• Targeted Weapon charm – 750 skulls
• Power Drill weapon – 1,000 skulls

Maybe a power drill isn’t as crazy for Black Ops as it seems to me, someone with admittedly very little familiarity with the series. The drill sadly doesn’t seem to have any special animations, nor can you drill people with it. It’s just your standard melee weapon but with a drill.

You don’t actually need to kill 1,000 players however, unless you really want to. Every kill in PvP nabs you one skulls, while every five kills in zombies gets you a skull, and every kill in Warzone gets you five skulls. Now Warzone sounds like the slowest way to get skulls, while zombies is incredibly fast. Barely an inconvenience.

Personally I manage to get over 100 skulls per zombie match, and the 495 above is the result of three rounds of zombies and maybe five multiplayer matches combined. On the community side, the player base seems unlikely to get all 50 billion skulls before the end of the event, barring Activision putting their thumb on the scales. Those rewards are as follows:

• Buffer Weight Stock – 8 billion skulls
• Shadow perk – 16 billion skulls
• Hand Cannon – 24 billion skulls
• Veteran perk – 32 billion skulls
• Sirin 9mm – 50 billion skulls

It could happen. The event runs through December 4.
