Fortnite Buffing XP Changes Everyone Hated

This week.

Fortnite has officially launched Chapter 6, and while it’s impossible to please all of the people all of the time, the folks at Epic are learning it’s definitely possible to please none of the people some of the time. And it all comes down to the game’s experience system.

The big change in Fortnite’s leveling system this chapter is the consolidation of everything. Owning the Fortnite Crew monthly subscription now gives access to all battle passes while you are subscribed, and not only that but you level all the passes simultaneously regardless of what mode you are playing. No more need to play Lego to get Lego rewards, you can just throw down in battle royale and eventually get all the pieces.

Stars have also been completely yeeted from the game, meaning one level equals one reward no matter what it is. But what has players in a fuss this season is how Epic has apparently nerfed experience gain hard across the board. How hard? In fixing the nerfs, Epic increased Lego quest EXP from 700 to 25k. Experience across the board has been boosted due to player feedback, and Epic is still updating rewards and rates.

Speaking of which, did you know that the OG OG season launched today? It did.
