A nice game but the demo is way too short.
I’m sticking a bunch of the demos I played in written form here on Vidjama Gmaes.
The Boba Teashop demo is short, almost criminally so. The whole thing will take you roughly seven minutes from start to finish and you’ll serve about four or five people in the process and make two types of boba. With and without the tapioca. You get some discussion with customers and there’s the prerequisite theme in these games of being a woman working in a shop and having a creepy dude hit on you. That doesn’t have the same angry vibes as other games though.
I don’t know why you’re working in a shop that has the lighting of a serial killer’s basement.
Admittedly I am a sucker for these games, VHS-style horror titles where you simply go around doing menial tasks and every so often something spoopy happens. Your character is always more of a passive observer to these scenes as they ramp up over time and then eventually it all comes to a head and your character either escapes the madness or gets brutally murdered off-screen.

Judging from the demo, I’m assuming as the game goes on you’ll have more flavors and novelties that become available for your boba. The girl in the demo mentions strawberry flavoring. I really hope the developer doesn’t go down the route of creepy stalker guy plot. It’s not bad or unrealistic, but it is vastly overplayed in this genre with this art style, with this gameplay.
