Fortnite’s Star Wars Season Will Be Short

One month.

Fortnite’s next season is dropping May 2 and it is short. Incredibly short. So short that I’m not sure if it is actually officially considered to be “season 3” of chapter 6.

Normally Fortnite seasons last about three months, give or take a few days. The Galactic Battle season launching tomorrow is running for 36 days. That is May 2 to June 7. The Star Wars-themed season has a packed schedule however with notable content updates planned for May 8, May 15, May 22, and May 29, with a big final event on June 7. Players will be able to get their hands on lightsabers and Star Wars themed weapons and cosmetics.

Eventually you’ll even be able to perform an orbital bombardment of the Fortnite map via Star Destroyer. And then on June 7 players will fight Palpatine in a big event. What kind of event? A big one. Hopefully not quite as dull as the giant Doom fight last chapter.

This isn’t Fortnite’s first rodeo with a smaller battle pass. Most recently the game’s OG Chapter 2 Remix season ran from November 2 through November 30. The smaller seasons have smaller battle passes as well, usually about half the size of the regular pass with one third the time to complete it. Don’t worry, they still cost the same price.

Will I be checking out Fortnite’s Star Wars season? You bet your sweet bippy.
